Abnormal Periods (Menstruation)

Usually lasting four to seven days, menstrual cycles happen every 28 days on average. Menstrual flows that are significantly heavier or lighter than usual are examples of irregular periods, as are cycles that are less than 21 days or more than 35 days apart.
